/Lips/ Hurraw Chai Spice Lip Balm

this was purchased by me.

I'm not ashamed to admit my obsession with lip products. It's mostly lip balms and lipsticks. Anyway, I bought this with a slew of other things from American Apparel a few months ago when I had a promo code for 30% off anything on sale. I picked this up because it's made of vegan & organic ingredients and it's also cruelty-free. There are so many different flavors to choose from so I had a difficult time deciding, but I ended up with the Chai Spice flavor because the reviews for it were good and I like Chai tea (I also bought another lip balm with another AA order so a review on that will come when I finally open it).

This costs $3.80 and comes with .15 oz/4.3 g of product. It's described on the website as "All natural, vegan, raw (using premium fair trade ingredients from organic US farmers and around the world), super smooth, not draggy, not sticky, not sweet, not too glossy, not too smelly, never grainy, long lasting, gluten-free, Kosher Parve, and no melting in a back jean pocket! Hurraw!" It's made in the U.S.A. (Whitefish, Montana) and it's rated 5 out of 5 stars. According to the reviews, most people add this lip balm in order to qualify for free shipping.
This lip balm is sealed at the cap (safe & sanitary for your use only) and is only broken once you open the cap.

The packaging of Hurraw lip balm is different from other brands because this has an oval shaped tube rather than a circular shaped tube.

I find the oval shape of this lip balm easier to apply as its narrower shape conforms to lips better. Here's the ingredient list:

cruelty-free & vegan

I wasn't sure how this would smell, but I was pleasantly surprised that it had the exact aroma of Chai tea. There is a rich, spicy scent of the cardamom which reminds me a little of cinnamon and makes me believe I'm putting Chai on my lips. It even tastes like Chai tea. So, how good is it at keeping my lips feel hydrated and happy? Let's check it out.

Here are my bare lips without anything on them.

This is what they look like after an application of Hurraw:

The lip balm adds a little glossiness to the lips which I like and my lips feel soothed. My lips stay hydrated for 2-3 hours and the Chai scent lingers for about 5 minutes. After wearing this lip balm throughout the day and at night before I go to sleep, I've noticed that my lips are smooth and feel comfortable.

I really like this Hurraw Chai Spice lip balm. It really delivers in hydration and it smells so delicious. I love that this is also made of organic and vegan ingredients & it's not tested on animals. I want to try all the other flavors now~
