Ah, another pink lip gloss to give me a pretty pink pout. I'm very much obsessed with lippies and pink is my favorite variety. I had been wanting to try NYX's butter glosses for a long time and I finally indulged in getting one when Ulta was having a sale of 40% off on certain brands. I picked this color because it looked like a warm peachy pinky that would complement my skin tone. After using it for the last few months in various looks, I'm ready to share my thoughts on the butter gloss with you.

Before the year ends, I'd like to squeeze in another review. I have another lip product here and this time it's a lip balm from Maybelline's Baby Lips line. I picked up the shade Quenched (005) which is a clear because I wanted a lip balm I could use daily without worrying about color or sparkles on my lips, but would provide enough hydration for me. I also liked that this lip balm has an SPF of 20 to protect my lips during the day. After about 3 months of using this, I'm ready to share my thoughts in it with you.

I've been more interested in this brand since it's very affordable and most of the products I've used from this line are pretty good. I'm not ashamed to admit my obsession with lip products. It's mostly lip balms and lipsticks. Anyway, I bought this with a slew of other things from American Apparel a few months ago when I had a promo code for 30% off anything on sale. I picked this up because it's made of vegan & organic ingredients and it's also cruelty-free. There are so many different flavors to choose from so I had a difficult time deciding, but I ended up with the Chai Spice flavor because the reviews for it were good and I like Chai tea (I also bought another lip balm with another AA order so a review on that will come when I finally open it).

I got this lipgloss a few weeks ago when I purchased some jeans from American Apparel. I wanted free shipping (for orders of $50+) so I added this to my cart because I've been wanting to try their lipgloss. I know these were released a while ago, like, some time last year, and I've actually had one of these lipsticks for that long, but...well, I'm just getting around to reviewing them now. I have two colors, Faint for Fuchsia and A Plum Prospect, to show and tell for this post.
I missed out on getting the Urban Decay lipstick set on Black Friday. I don't understand how that could've happened--I got up early, added it into my cart, went to checkout, filled everything out and hit the submit button....but for some reason the site just wouldn't process my order (it was probably the insane influx of people, but still, I'm rather upset). So it sold out before my eyes.

Anyway, I've moved on in my life. And I got another lipstick instead at a much cheaper price, around $5. I was at a drugstore, browsing and picking up stuff to use coupons on, when this Rimmel lipstick caught my eye. Kate Moss is a representative model for the British cosmetic company and has collaborated with Rimmel to create a collection of lipsticks. It's difficult to resist a supermodel. And pink lipstick (at least for me).

I was excited to try this because the online reviews looked good, I liked the delightful shade of orange, and it has SPF protection for lips. I got this a few months ago when I got that Sephora swag. I've been using it since then, testing how it feels and hydrates my skin, enjoying its pleasant citrus aroma. I like the idea of this product in theory: it's a multipurpose moisturizer made of natural ingredients that wasn't initially tested animals.

I don't think I've fully divulged this, but I adore pink lipstick. Pink anything on the lips (and it's probably my go-to color for nails when I'm being indecisive). I'm 100% sure this started when I was living in Korea and I became obsessed with the barely-there, translucent, and milky pink lips as seen on many an actress in their dramas. Something like this:

Alas, I could never achieve a look like that as my lips are vibrantly pigmented rather than deathly pale and the color would clash with my tanned, healthy skin (I know because I have tried).
Back to this lipstick, though.
I already hoard lip products like a squirrel does nuts in autumn, but I do it all the time, so you can imagine all the pinky lip things in my arsenal. This was a recent purchase after I had seen swatches and such on nouveau cheap. I loved the color of fruit punch and aspired to attain it one day. It costs $5.49 as listed on the Milani website, but I picked mine up at Target. As it's in my possession now, let's take a closer look at it.

I have in my possession three Revlon Lip Butters to share with you. Two were actually bought many months ago and I got the other one only a few days ago. I must say, the packaging really gets me. It looks so cute and colorful, very much like candy. That's one of the reasons I was attracted to these colors and this specific product. According to Revlon, these are "buttery balm(s) with beautiful shiny color to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips." AND "94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated." Wow. Revlon lip butters are also award winners (...I don't exactly know where officially, but here's one place that gave them an award).
