/Hair/ Palty Milk Tea Brown Hair Dye

this product was purchased by me.

On my quest for the perfect shade of brunette, I continue the trials of home hair coloring. I went back to Palty because it worked well last time (oh, those boxes can be fun to look, too). The shade I ended up trying was Milk Tea Brown.

/Skin/ Shea Moisture African Black Soap w/ Shea Butter

this product was purchased by me.

For the most part, I like to go for the all-natural, organic, straight- from-nature approach with the products I use and eat. Ever since I my freshman year and college and after taking that one traumatizing environmental science class, I've been more cautious and have exercised close scrutiny on labels. This is the second time I've bought this soap; when I first got it I only used it on my body. I was more adventurous with it this time and decided to use the soap to wash my face.

/Nails/ Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots Nail Polish

this product was purchased by me.

This is my first nail polish post! How exciting! I'm not at all being sarcastic; I have numerous nail polishes and I really should discuss them at length here, but most of the ones I wear often are limited editions or the same colors...not necessarily easily acquired. Anyway, this is a new addition to Maybelline's line of color show nail polishes. It's the first one I've tried from the brand since they relaunched their polish line. I don't think this is limited edition, as evident from the Maybelline website, and I think this is a lower priced alternative to the Illamasqua and Deborah Lippman and Etsy versions out in the market today.

/Make-up/ Chanel Vitalumière Aqua

this product was purchased be me.

I've had this bottle for a while, longer than recommended, and I'm sure there's still a lot of product inside. This is a foundation I often reach for because it can even out and basically perfect the appearance of my skin. Whenever I'm in a rush and need to look presentable, I grab this the Vitalumière Aqua to put on my face. It goes on effortlessly, is travel friendly, and it's Chanel.

/Skin/ Jurlique Love Balm

this was purchased by me.

I got this a few months ago when I got that Sephora swag. I've been using it since then, testing how it feels and hydrates my skin, enjoying its pleasant citrus aroma. I like the idea of this product in theory: it's a multipurpose moisturizer made of natural ingredients that wasn't initially tested animals.

/People/ Daisy Lowe

I unabashedly love Daisy Lowe. She's like the ultimate best friend and the girl you dream about falling in love with (or at least being secret lovers with). Maybe that's just me in regards to the latter...I know I have a serious girl crush on Daisy. She spans the spectrum of cute, sexy, and badass so seamlessly. I don't remember how I learned about her. I just know that I started following a tumblr called Daisy Lowe Fan two or three years ago and became smitten with this lovely English model. She has the most mesmerizing smile, it's so genuine:

It screams real happiness and pleasantries. I adore that smile. The other Daisy physical feature I absolutely love is her fringe. It's always perfectly set or mussed up and it covers just the right amount of her face to add that charming mystery I covet. She's also so super nice, replying to people on twitter and posing for picture with fans.
Among her cutesy, girl-next-doorsy, bfffl personas is the super sexy. She's posed for Playboy, the Pirelli calendar, and such.

These images are more artistic and cheeky than anything else. She has the body of a normal, healthy person, which I appreciate, and is much more relatable to than the very skinny models out there.
Oddly enough, I've never really been interested in her beauty routine. I suppose I never really wanted to look like her (it is not possible, sadly) and she looks naturally and effortlessly beautiful so maybe I figured she might not have much of a routine anyway. But, I went ahead and googled for some interviews where she divulges in her beauty and style habits. They're quite interesting (and, as I figured, very minimalistic):

.beauty secrets

.in her make-up bag

.a month of style

.fresh as a daisy

Some of the links above are a little old (Daisy is no longer dating Dr. Who's Matt Smith), but the general information is still good and/or fun to read. Since I can't help myself, here's one last picture of her.

/Make-up/ Etude House Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB Cream

this was given to me as a gift.

I know I mentioned these nearly a month ago and now I'm finally getting around to reviewing them. I've used these bb creams many times since the last time I mentioned of them. It appears bb creams have had their rise and are beginning their slow fall (CC creams are the new it face products), so I'd like to bring home, to where bb creams got their start.

/Make-Up/ NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara

this product was purchased by me.

I'm well aware this blog has been...neglected for some time. For that, I must apologize for my essential laziness. It's a hard habit to break. Also, I took a short excursion to Las Vegas.
Today, I'm here to talk about a new mascara I picked up two or so weeks ago. Let's get talking.
