/Skin/ Pixi Vitamin Wakeup Mist

this was purchased by me

I've been into mists lately. They're a great way to hydrate and cool the skin on the go. I have been using Pixi products for a while and bought this based on Caroline Hirons' recommendations for Pixi products. At the time of my purchase there was a sale going on so I took the chance and bought it. It's been a few months since I started using it. Let's see how things turned out.

/Make-up/ Etude House Double Lasting Foundation

this was purchased by me

Etude House's latest foundation is long-lasting that "provides perfect cover and thin, fitting feel." I got this during the summer as it was the first time my make-up has ever melted off my face and I wanted a base that would stay put.

/Skin/ Yes To Carrots Fragrance-Free Intense Hydration Night Cream

this was purchased by me.

I bought this cream a looong time ago, it was around mid-fall, when my skin was feeling very dry and flaky. I was looking for a moisturizer to soothe my face, but I wanted it to have natural ingredients and be cruelty-free. Lo and behold, I found this at my local Target. It had everything I was looking for so I decided to try it out. Seeing as the jar is nearly empty, I'd like to share my thoughts on it.

/Make-up/ Innisfree Water Glow Cushion SPF 50+ PA+++

this was purchased by me.

I'd been wanting to try a cushion compact for a long time. I thought about trying the Etude House one because it wasn't that expensive and I saw all the pretty advertisements for it. One day after watching Pony do a make-up tutorial for dry skin and seeing she was using Innisfree products I thought I would look into the brand. I found out they have an online store that delivers worldwide. The shipping prices aren't that bad either. I decided to get the Water Glow Cushion and to see how

/Skin/ Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Soap w/ Sognyi Mushroom

this was purchased by me.

I finally decided to try another Shea Moisture soap as a facial cleanser. I chose this particular one because it focuses on brightening and toning the skin with natural, organic ingredients. I've been using this as a daily cleanser for about four or five months and here's my review~

/Skin/ Missha Time Revolution White Cure Blanc Sun Protector

this was purchased by me.

I bought this a while ago as I got this with the the Missha Complexion Coordinating BB Cream, but I started using this recently (like a few months ago) as I needed a new sunscreen. I was excited to try this because it's supposed to have whitening properties to get rid of any skin discolorations (e.g.: darks spots from the sun, acne scars, etc.). After using this daily for months, I'd like to share my thoughts on it with you.

/Make-up/ Lumene Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Cream

this was purchased by me.

As usual my quest for a nice complexion continues with this CC cream from Lumene. I've had a lot of good experience with Lumene products, even reviewing this on my blog, and I think they're a very underrated brand. Anyway, I picked this up during the summer at Ulta as I've been interested in trying this for some time. After months of daily use, I'm ready to share my thoughts on this CC Cream with you.

/Make-up/ NYX Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer Jar

this was purchased by me.

When I first started wearing make-up, concealer wasn't a very important thing for me. Over the years, I've come to think of it as a lifesaver in making me look presentable. I first got into concealers for blemishes, but recently I've been looking for concealers to combat the dark circles that have been appearing under my eyes (I'm getting so old....). I was attracted to this NYX on because it was cheap and cruelty-free. After using this for a few months, I'm ready to share my thoughts with you.

/Make-up/ L'Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation

this was purchased by me.

I'm always looking for products that will make my complexion look a little nicer be it skincare or cosmetics. I've been wanting to try this foundation for a while because it was said to be a dupe for Giorgio Armani's Maestro foundation, which is super expensive. Being the frugal, poor person I am, I bought this instead when it was on sale & when I had a $1 off coupon. Having used it for a few months, I'm glad to share my thoughts on this product with you.

/Make-up/ NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray

this was purchased by me.

I got this a while ago...I can't remember when, exactly, but more than three months ago. I originally purchased it because I was interested in trying a setting spray and my skin was feeling very dry at the time; I wanted to set my make-up with something that wouldn't accentuate or irritate my dry skin while keeping me shine-free. Enter NYX's matte setting spray.

/Skin/ Trader Joe's Nourish All-in-One Facial Cleanser

this was purchased by me.

Aside from having organic baby carrots and coconut milk ice cream, Trader Joe's also has quite the selection of skin and body care products. It's an often overlooked section, I think, because it's so difficult to find in the grocery store and it's not promoted much (maybe one or two products in their ad flyer). I always like to peruse TJ's skincare offerings and a few months ago I bought this cleanser.

/Make-up/ Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation Mattifying Oil Free

this was purchased by me.

Other than my obsession with pink lips and nails, I'm always looking for complexion products that will make my skin look perfect. I do invest in quite a bit of skincare, but I find that cosmetics can add the finishing touch in enhancing the skin. Products promising skincare benefits are another lure; I'd much rather have something on my skin actually doing something rather than just sitting there for the ride. I saw great reviews for this Hourglass foundation (notably from GossMakeUpArtist) and I bought it last summer. Since I've had months to try it out, I'd like to share my thoughts on it with you.

/Make-up/ Etude House Dear Girls Be Clear BB Cream

this was given to me as a gift

I remember mentioning this BB cream almost a year ago, when my mom returned from her trip to South Korea and brought me back some Etude House products. Although I had just asked her for some of the Bright Fit BB Creams, she also got me this Dear Girl's BB Cream because a sales person recommended it based on my skin type. I've been trying this on and off for months and here are my thoughts.

/Skin/ Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer

this was given as a gift to me.

I got this a few months ago, during the time I went on my end-of-summer vacation. Duty-free shops are difficult to resist and I limited myself to getting something that would benefit my skin. An added bonus: it fit in my luggage without adding bulk.

/Make-up/ Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer

this was purchased by me.

Ok, before I do a review on 3CE's Pore Silky Balm, I want to do a review on this Tarte primer. I got this about two months ago (the same time I purchased the eyelash curler) and I've been using it for a while. I've just been forgetting to write about it.

/Skin/ Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

I make it a habit to do a mask at least once a week. It's a ritual I've maintained for six years. As someone with generally oily skin since my teen years, I tend to seek out masks aimed at helping with oiliness and blemishes. For a long time I used a Neutrogena product, but as I got older and wiser I started seeking out natural and cruelty-free options.

this was purchased by me

Enter Aztec Secret's clay mask. I was wandering around Whole Food's skin/body/personal care section when I saw this jar on a bottom shelf. It didn't look amazing or exciting, but after reading the product description I thought this would be a good mask to try.

/Make-up/ Missha Complexion Coordinating BB Cream

this was purchased by me.

I bought this from Missha almost two months ago. Having jumped on the BB cream bandwagon, it seemed fitting to try a little CC cream too. This product is more like a BB/CC hybrid that includes the traditional features of each cream. It should be noted that this is the "flawless" version of the Complexion Coordinating BB Cream (there is a "pure" version that's supposed to make skin more luminous) and I had high expectations for this cream. For numerous people Missha is the gateway into BB creams and other Korean cosmetics. I remember when I was living in South Korea and some of my colleagues regularly made plans to go to Missha stores during sales to stock up on BB creams. At that time Korean make-up failed to allure me and sometimes I regret that (but shopping can be bothersome when sales people follow you like a shadow).
I've been testing this out sporadically throughout the weeks and here are my thoughts on it.

/Skin/ Mustela Stelatopia Cream Cleanser

this was purchased by me.

Remember when I was raving about La Roche-Posay's Toleriane cleanser? It was my favorite, probably one of the best cleansers I've ever used, but it was a little too expensive for me to keep purchasing ($24 is such an indulgence). When I finished it off I went in search of a cheaper alternative. This is what I found.

/Face/ Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush

this was purchased by me.

Let's talk about blush. I use it everyday I wear make-up; it's a very automatic process for me even if I don't pay much attention to the process or application. I find that wearing blush really makes you look alive. When your skin gets covered by a layer of foundation/tinted moisturizer/bb or cc cream, it becomes flat. With a pop of color on your cheeks you appear more alive rather than...ghost-like.

/Make-up/ Chanel Vitalumière Aqua

this product was purchased be me.

I've had this bottle for a while, longer than recommended, and I'm sure there's still a lot of product inside. This is a foundation I often reach for because it can even out and basically perfect the appearance of my skin. Whenever I'm in a rush and need to look presentable, I grab this the Vitalumière Aqua to put on my face. It goes on effortlessly, is travel friendly, and it's Chanel.
