Even though it looks like I recently did a post about coloring my hair, that was last year. And since then I have colored a bit. This was my first time using a Garnier hair dye so I wanted to relay my experience with it.

I haven't dyed my hair since March...so I picked up this dye form L'Oreal recently. Let's see what happened.

It's been a while since I colored my hair. I picked this up last weekend. My regular hair dye wasn't at the store I went to, but this was on sale and it seemed similar so I decided to try it. Was it any good?

It's been a long time since I last blogged...So sorry. I've been busy with adjusting and other things. I wanted to at least get a post in regarding my hair as I really needed to color it. I stopped by a beauty store the other day (there are so many here) and picked out this hair dye because it on sale and I wanted to try a foaming hair dye. Let's see how my hair turned out!

It's been a long time since I last dyed my hair. Three months have passed! My roots had started to show and I wanted to go back to a slightly darker, natural looking hair color. I had this L'Oreal hair dye I bought a month ago in my room so I decided to use it.
I'm finally working on getting back to blogging. I thought that I'd be fine when I got back from Korea, but I started feeling a little ill and extremely tired. Now I've recovered, I think, so onto the review.

The first thing I wanted to do when I returned from Korea was deal with my hair color. I think it had been about six months since I used a permanent hair dye. After calculating that I can't believe it's been that long...Anyway, as spring is here I wanted to lighten up my hair so I decided to try out L'Oreal Preference's Les Blondissimes line. Let's see how my hair turned out after using it.

Before I leave for Korea this week (my goodness, that's coming up fast) I wanted to touch up my hair color. It's been almost a month and a half since I last dyed my hair and my roots are starting to show...I'd like to look presentable to my family and others (potential employers!?!) when I see them and leave a goof impression. I decided to pick up this non-permanent hair dye from Clairol because I've had good results with this in the past. Let's see how this color worked out for me.

It's that time again for me to color my hair. It's been a while and I've been wanting to go lighter. I picked up this Hi-Lift color from L'Oreal at Target a few weeks ago. I was tempted to get the Hi-Lift Ash Brown, but I wanted to try something different so I went with the Natural Brown this time, which says it's a cooler toned shade on the box. Let's see how it turned out.

Hello~ I just returned from Chicago. It was nice, surprisingly cooler than I expected. I had a very pleasant time ^u^
Before I left for my week-long trip, I colored my hair using this L'Oreal dye. I wanted to make sure my hair was at least even before attending the wedding there and I happened to have coupons for this brand so this is what I picked up. Let's see how it turned out for me.

I've been doing a lot to my hair lately, at least according to this blog. I was intending to bleach my hair (when am I not?), but with my current school situation and such I didn't think it was too wise...yet. As my hair was losing the ashy loveliness of the last dye I used, I picked this up in the hopes to get the ash back in my hair.

I needed to color my hair again as my previous color had started to fade, introducing my roots to the world. I choose this shade because it was featured on ekiblog (my ultimate source for hair coloring among other things) and I was curious to see the results of the hi-lift on my hair. Annndd, I happened to have a coupon for a box of L'Oreal hair color.
I am so close to straight up bleaching my hair. It appears to be a big trend these days anyway. (Note to self: bleach project to take effect in January)

Since I'm still a bit scared of at-home bleaching, I thought I might try my luck with a blonde high-lift hair color. My roots have started to show, only a very little bit, really, but I felt the urge to dye my hair.

Coloring my hair has become a routine I quite enjoy. Well, I look forward to it ever couple of weeks even though I'm most likely damaging my hair.
Since I last used L'Oreal's light ash brown hair color, my hair has faded and become more orangey (in other words, brassy). With the intention to tone down the orange and cover my roots, I journeyed to Mitsuwa Market in search of a hair dye to fulfill my needs. What I really wanted wasn't stocked (Palty's bleach color in Hard Gold Brown) so I settled for this Palty dye in Macaron Beige.

Since returning from my late summer vacation, it was really very impromptu, I've noticed that my hair has been looking kind of different. I think with all the times I went to the pool, took a dip in the ocean, and relaxed in the spa, my hair started losing its nice, normal-ish brown color (not to mention I was taking a shower everyday, washing my hair, because being in the Caribbean can make one feel a little sticky after 12 hours). When I returned to L.A., I was resolved to color my hair as soon as possible. I settled on this L'Oreal hair dye in Light Ash Brown that I actually bought a few months ago (like...around May or June...); if I have it, I might as well use it, right?

On my quest for the perfect shade of brunette, I continue the trials of home hair coloring. I went back to Palty because it worked well last time (oh, those boxes can be fun to look, too). The shade I ended up trying was Milk Tea Brown.

Having been sorely disappointed with the results I achieved when using western hair dye (or, more precisely, just Revlon), I decided to try Japanese hair dye. Through research on hair wiki, ekiblog, and this official "website" I decided to try Palty hair dye because it's specifically made for Asian-ish hair and will actually lighten the color dark hair on the first go. My first choice of dye was actually Liese, but these aren't as easily found in the U.S. stores as I've never seen them anywhere. I happened to find this dye at a local Japanese grocer, Mitsuwa, and one can most likely find them in Japanese beauty stores too (I've seen some Korean grocery stores carrying Palty as well, but they tend to have a smaller selection available; also check out places online). After much debate in the store, I came home with Palty's Treatment Bleach in Natural Brown.

So, I lied when I said the next hair color I'd try would be from L'oreal. I'll admit to changing my mind often, even last minute, so I apologize for the sticking to Revlon. It's so difficult to resist the reviews on Hair Wiki (even without picture evidence because you just hope the product will work out for you) and this dye was under $5. I really had high expectations for this dye and cince it's been about a week since I colored my hair, I'd like to share my results.

A wee over a week ago I went and cut my hair. Now I've gone and dyed it. The last time I colored my hair was two years ago (I colored it for the first time ever three years ago, but never consistently did it) after it had been bleached, dyed a light golden-ish brown, started turning orange-y ombre-ish, and I tried dyeing it darker like my original hair color. After that, I let my hair grow out, dye-free, and repair itself from the trauma of everything I'd done to it. I'm terrified to color my hair at home. When I had major color changes I trusted hairdressers to transform my tresses.
But if there's one thing I've learned about beauty it's that you've gotta be fearless. To change the way you look, to do it because you want to look that way; it's your choice, go on ahead and do it (haven't we all been in situations where we're smearing on face creams and serums, painting our nails chartreuse and swiping blood-red lipstick on, or trying a new cleanser in the hopes of looking better? I don't exactly know if this trial and error thing is effective as I can attest having had to red, itchy skin and orange hair as a result...).
I digress. This is about my home hair dye experience from last Friday. I used Revlon Colorsilk in Medium Golden Brown.
