The first real post of the year is featuring The Body Shop. I've been really into perfumes and fragrances this past year. I started going to Fragratica to check notes of perfumes I was considering to buy or was just interested in. The reason why I got this body mist is because I had a sample of YSL's Black Opium that I liked. However, it was kind of expensive. I checked the Fragrantica page and so many people were saying that The Body Shop's Black Musk was pretty similar. Soooo, when they were having a sale I decided to try this out.

I think this is a new category for my blog. I haven't reviewed a fragrance before, but I have talked about how products smell (milky, floral, sweet). I hope to review more fragrances in the future as This is something I purchased a while ago from Sephora and have recently started using. I was expecting good things from the scent description so let's see if it's as good as I hoped it would be.

It's been a while since I colored my hair. I picked this up last weekend. My regular hair dye wasn't at the store I went to, but this was on sale and it seemed similar so I decided to try it. Was it any good?

I've been gone a long time. No lies. Since the last post, I moved to South Korea and have been living it up and down; getting my life ruined then built back up. At the start it was a wild ride with a lot of stress and little sleep.

Sorry for being away for so long...I've been dealing with a few things that need to get done before I leave L.A. in a few months. It's been a while since my last blog post featuring a person I admire for their beauty and style so I thought why not start off May with one?

There has always been a certain allure to Christina Ricci. She can be dark and twisted yet adorable and funny. I remember seeing her for the first time when I watched the firs Addams Family movie. I liked that she was different. Wednesday Addams was scary and surprisingly confident. Christina Ricci portrayed the character well, giving the right amount of deranged to childish charm.

I enjoyed watching her in more light-hearted movies like Now and Then and Casper. She was definitely one of my favorite actresses of the 90s.

She's a wonderfully talented actress who's particularly intelligent. This article I recently read really brought to light how creative and professional she is (she has her own production company!). I had sort of forgotten about Christina Ricci throughout the years as she hasn't been in many films or TV shows lately, but after watching Penelope and Grey's Anatomy on Netflix I was smitten all over again. She doesn't seem to age and every time I see her she reminds me of a doll. A beautiful, petite, age-defying doll. I hope I look that good when I'm 35.

The first time I saw Rashida Jones was in the American version of The Office. It was the third season when Jim transferred from the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of Dunder-Miflin to somewhere in New York/Pennsylvania, I think...Anyway, Rashida Jones was introduced as a new character/co-worker at Jim's new workplace and I was smitten.

What attracted me to her the most is her hair. She has the most perfect hair I've ever seen.

She's had so many different hairstyles and colors yet she pulls every one of them off so effortlessly. Her fringe is my favorite aspect of her hair (when she has it). Rashida Jones also looks super cute. I mean to say, she has an adorable face despite the fact she's almost 40.
Even though I knew she was an actress, I had no idea she came from a famous family. Her father is Quincy Jones and her mother, Peggy Lipton, was an actress (I literally just discovered her mother used to be an actress, thanks Wikipedia). Aside from being beautiful, Rashida Jones is apparently a genius because she went to Harvard.

From what I read on the internets about Rashida Jones, she's a minimalist when it comes to her own beauty routine. Rarely does she put on foundation, but she still looks perfect. She also stays fit, but doesn't look like a walking skeleton. She sends a good message regarding body image and being comfortable with yourself (which she also discusses in some of the interviews I listed above).

She even looks amazing in glasses.
