Quick update: I cut my hair yesterday. I went to Aesthe' in Koreatown, where I always get my hair cut. Here's my hair as you might've remembered it:
It was super long! Anyway, here it is now:
OMG so short, but I like it. I won't have to worry about so much hair management all the time--no more tangles and waiting forever to dy my hair. It will also be so much easier to color...I want lighter hair again..
Hello! Sorry for being away so long. I got a visit from my (new!) boyfriend a few weeks ago so I was distracted and busy showing him around. I didn't really recover from his departure yet so I've been kind of sad and lazy. Anyway, I was in need of a haircut, the last one I had was in January, so I went to the Aesthe' salon today. This was my hair before the cut:

It was really long and all my thinned out layers at the bottom had turned into a heavy blob. Here's my new hair!

It feels much lighter on my head because my hairdresser really thinned out my hair. I was quite scared to see all my hair on the floor. I like it, though. I asked for wavy hair and it looks rather cute. Too bad it won;t stay nice like this all the time (I have no idea how to curl my hair like this). Next thing to do would be coloring my hair....
Got a haircut earlier today.
I don't know if anyone noticed before, but I had too much volume at the bottom of my hair....which I guess that's fine for people who have thin hair...As a person who has naturally thick/voluminous hair, it can become heavy and bothersome. I asked my hairdresser at Aesthe' to thin out my hair through the lengths and give me some layers. She straigh-ironed it at the end to make it look all sleek. I like it. My hair feels really light (however it is a little shorter) and it's probably easier to manage.
I got a hair cut earlier today. I went to the same hair place I talked about here (it is my regular hair place, after all). All I did was basically get a trim with a touch of layering. My hair dresser sometimes asks if I'd like to have my hair curled or straightened and this time I went with some curling. She uses a straightener and rolls hair around it--it looks so easy, but when I try to do it at home my hair ends up looking kinky. I get harsh, folded bends not softly curled locks.
It looks pretty. I feel like I could be in Popteen or Jelly. Maybe.
So, I've gone and had my hair cut. I went on Saturday to a Korean 미용실, beauty place, in K-Town. It's the only place I've gone to do my hair for the past six or seven years. I've gone through many hair changes from a perm to bleaching my hair entirely and then dyeing it a light brown at this place. My hairdresser does an exceptional job as she knows my hair so well and I think the interior is well designed (oh, how I relish looking at all the magazines they stock). If you don't mind the k-pop and normal pop blasting in the background or the fact that the hair stylists there have limited conversation skills in English, this is an excellent place to get hair and make-up done.
