Happy new year! I fell short of my goals for the blog this past year after promising to post weekly. I started working and it's been hard to schedule this in after a long day. Although I have been absent, there are still many things I want to blog about, not just beauty or skincare or style; I kind of want to branch into more lifestyle and personal topics kind of like what I used to do.

I'm at a weird point in my life right now, too, and the responsibilities are endless. Sometimes the blog doesn't have a priority, which is unfortunate. Anyway, there are still things I want to do and feature here. I'm thinking about also doing a end of the month post where I go over all the products I've finished and if I've liked them or not. I remember I wanted to do something similar with using a single brand for make up or skincare for a few weeks and see the results. Thinking about starting other projects, too. So many ideas....
I'll still try to do the weekly posting. Probably starting after this first post for 2019.
It is another year.

I'm a little worried and excited about it. So far, it's been going well. There will be many changes to my life (again) and I need to be planning things. That's the stressful part. I think I do want to go back to school and learn, it's just not the best idea to do that in the U.S....Anyway, like most people I have some resolutions I'd like to stick to throughout the year. Instead of calling it "resolutions", the term is a little daunting, I'll make this my to do list. Just for this blog.
1.Weekly posting
I want to post at least once a week. That's basically what I aimed for in the early years of this blog.
2.More content
The majority of my posts are reviews. I think many beauty blogs are like that, people want to know if something works, if it's worth the time & money. I just want to add other kinds of posts (besides the announcement thing or sales or etc) revolving around make up and skincare. Maybe monthly essentials or brand focus (so down for a brand focus series)
3. Accessibility
I have a Facebook page. I now have a style tumblr. This is my twitter. I have a personal instagram, but I'm considering getting a separate one just for this blog. (Instagram still popular?) Need more outlets to reach/inspire others.
4. Be a conscious consumer
This blog really changed my view at the end of 2017. I used to be hardcore vegetarian 2008-2015, very eco-aware. That waned a bit, especially after moving to South Korea these past few years, but I need to get back into it. It's just better for us all and we can start little by little.
That's all for now. Those would be the most major improvements for this blog. I also want to blog more about personal stuff the way I used to, but that's another blog for another time. This is dedicated to pretty and the like.
I am sorry for the absence of posts for nearly three (!!!) months. Due to some unpredictable circumstances I got really stressed and busy. I also started working which is contributing to much of the stress and business. I honestly miss blogging and knowing I've neglected this has made me feel so sad. On a positive note, I have soooooooo many things to review and get up on here so I'll be doing that once I finish up my TEFL course. Or sooner whenever I have the time. kk. bbs. baci. \(*u~)
Hello! I've just returned from South Korea (I arrived yesterday afternoon)! I had a very interesting and fun time there, going around visiting family and exploring the cities. Also there was some shopping to be had.

slowly expanding my bootleg simpsons t-shirt collection...also some korean cosmetics!
Surprisingly, I don't feel very jet-lagged and I think I'm adjusting back to L.A. time well. It's nice to be back because I felt so cold while I was over there.
Anyway, my trip to Korea wasn't just for sightseeing and shopping, there was an actual purpose. So...I had interviews at two different English Academies in Busan during my time there. Both went well and my boyfriend and I were offered jobs, the only thing we had to do was decide where we which one we wanted to work at. Sooo that means I'll be living in Korea! For at least one year, I think. It's exciting and a little scary, but mostly exciting! That's the important news I wanted to share because I was so surprised to get job offers like almost immediately after the interviews.
I'll be back to blogging reviews and such soon so expect to see new posts~

bye!
I'm leaving tonight! There probably won't be any new posts for a while...This is probably the shortest entry I've written.
Anyway! I'll let you all know how Korea was.^^
Hello! If you've seen some of my tweets recently, I've been talking about going somewhere. And the big reveal....I'm off to Korea in a few weeks! I didn't think it was going to happen, honestly, it was kind of like a nice idea my boyfriend suggested and now it's a reality. Now, this isn't just a vacation where I go around seeing historic/interesting places, go shopping, and eat delicious things; I'm also scouting out potential jobs in major cities. Then I'm going to see various family and friends.
There's so much to do and plan out...I need to start making my packing list immediately. Do other people do that? Like, make a list of everything they need to pack so they don't forget something (I still forget to pack things, though)? Anyway, I may not have time to blog when I'm there so I'll try to squeeze in a few more reviews before then.
Seriously, I'm excited and terrified! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
Hello! It's been a while since I made a post...It's not because I was busy, but I didn't have anything prepared to post so I've been working on that lately. Happy (belated) New Year, though! So, for Christmas last month I was avle to receive a new camera! I finally have a DSLR and it has a 24.2 megapixel definition.

This is a tremendous upgrade to the digital camera I've been using so far. My old one was from 2009 (when I was studying abroad in Oxford at the time) and it's kind of falling apart so I was happy to get a new, nicer camera.

selfie w/ new camera!
I'm still reading the manual and getting used to using it, so I'll be gradually using it to take picture for this blog.
Also, I haven't been updating the status of my diet. With the New Year people make resolutions to eat healthier and be more active, but that's what I started doing a while ago. I think it's about 22 weeks in already...? Anyway, I'm still not near my goal of 108 lbs/49 kg (my weight is currently 118 lb/53.5 kg), but I am following the Blogilates workouts daily and incorporating better foods in my diet. I want follow meal plans/recipes from Whole Foods and the Blogilates website. And I got a new weight scale!

It's so pretty and accurate! I like using it even though seeing how much I weigh makes me anxious.
Well, thanks for checking out my blog and sharing this journey with me in beauty, style, and health. I'll be posting new stuff soon, namely reviews, so be patience and be sure to visit again~

Hello. I have another quick announcement before I start reviewing again. Soo...I'm going on a diet. I remember many years ago when I was in high school and I went to the see the doctor, the nurse weighed me at 136 lbs./ 61.7 kg. I was scared and embarrassed...That was probably the heaviest I've ever been (but I can't say for sure because I never liked to weigh myself). To be honest I don't think I've ever formally been on a diet, I've just changed my eating habits over the years and incorporated more exercise into my daily routine. Right now I'm at 118 lbs/ 53.5 kg with a BMI of 20.9, which is in the normal range. Over the course of 7 years I've lost about 18 lbs./ 8 kg. It was really strange for me last year because I suddenly lost a lot of weight, like 10 lbs., within 2 weeks. This really gave me the confidence and motivation to lose a little more weight. Ideally, I would like to be at 100 lbs./45.3 kg, but then my BMI would be getting into the unhealthy range...so anything under 50 kg. will be my goal for now (that would be anything 110 lbs. or less).

I don't look terrible in this full body selfie..at least I don't think so. If there's one thing that I would really like to make lean it would definitely be my calves. I'm quite sure I inherited them from my mom...which upsets me...and no matter what I do they always stay so big. TT^TT.
There's not much I can do about them...but I'll try stuff like this, especially long distance running again. I've also been doing exercises on the Blogilates youtube channel. The exercises are easy to follow and to do anywhere so I've been trying to do them everyday.
So I just wanted to share this news with whoever comes across this blog (and any dedicated readers) and record my progress. Here are my starting stats:
Weight: 118 lbs
BMI: 20.9
Current routine: 30-45 minutes everyday of running/dancing/Blogilates
I don't know what else to put at the moment (the type of food and how much I eat?), but I'll aim to update weekly. Also, any post relating to diets in the future will have the title..."Diet".
That's all I wanted to let you know. Thank you (*U*)/
Hi!

So I've been gone for a while, I know. Some of it was due to personal issues and some of it was vacationing...If you follow me on Twitter I made a few tweets about being in Las Vegas the last couple of days. It was sooooooo hot there. Every time I went outside I felt like I was melting. I'm glad to be back in L.A. Anyway! I'm back and will resume posting reviews and such soon.
Also, .:*happy 4th of July*:.!

Hi! This is a super quick post about EyeCandy's amazing promotion for this month. Buy any regular priced pair of lenses and a choice of the GEO Eyes Cream series lenses for only $8! This deal started last week (6/12) and it ends on 6/31. You've got a while to pick out what you want and if you'd like some advice check out some of my circle lens reviews for some of my personal picks. Remember, EyeCandy's ships for free worldwide! Free shipping is always a great incentive when purchasing online. At least I think so. Anyway, I know this is something I'm not going miss out on.
Buon compleanno! Bon anniversaire! I can't believe I made it one year on this blog. This all started one year ago today. Wow. I know I'm not always updating, posting, or quite exactly catering to whatever audience I garner, but I'm happy. Very much happy.

yay~~
Here's a preview of things I'll be posing about in the near future:

oooohh
Think of this as an incentive to come back and see what I say about the afore shown things. And maybe one day I'll be able to have a giveaway for those kind of things...
Thanks to all my wayward visitors and readers. I hope to continue reviewing, sharing thoughts, and being a little weird.
Hello. I know posts have been few and far between for those of you who check this blog...maybe occasionally. I've just got some news: I'll be in school for the next three months. I'm currently in a university library as I type this minute.

hello. i'm obviously doing homework.
At any rate, this is going to be my excuse for the lack of posts. I do have a lot to put up (in categories such as hair, lips, nails, lenses, skincare), though, and in an effort to maintain/increase production of such things, I'll be minimizing the elaborate, superfluous writing that detracts from the content of a post, particularly pertaining to a review. So....yeah. Less words and better/concise criteria with about the same amount of pictures. I promise.

I'm not sure if there's an equivalent of the U.S.'s eponymous Black Friday in other countries (I feel like there was something similar in South Korea, it happened when I was there, but I don't know what it's called...). I remember the early years of the crazed shopping day when people would line up weeks before the event would begin and when the stores finally opened it was utter chaos. I don't think I ever really got what I wanted....This year I plan to stay in, play video games, and do my shopping online. I was surprised to find out/get emails from internet shops that were already offering discounts and surprise deals for Friday. Here are a few I'm looking forward to the most.
So! I'll be taking a brief hiatus for a about a week and a half. Clues on my destination:

Yes, it's somewhere sunny, possibly tropical. Yes, I have that many sunglasses. No, I'm not bringing them all (only two).
I'll be back soon with new and exciting things to talk about.
Bye for now.
